Quality Education
At SAFYI, we understand the critical role that education plays in promoting inclusive and equitable societies and building a sustainable future for all. However, many individuals here in Nigeria still face barriers to accessing quality education, limiting their opportunities, and perpetuating cycles of poverty and exclusion.
We’d like to ensure people, regardless of their background or circumstances, have access to inclusive and equitable quality education and lifelong learning opportunities. We are making concerted efforts to supplement science education in schools in Nigeria and ensure the supply of qualified teachers. We are committed to eliminate gender disparities in education and ensure equal access to all levels of education and vocational training for the vulnerable, including persons with disabilities, indigenous peoples, and children in vulnerable situations.
We’d like to ensure that teenagers and a substantial proportion of young adults, both men and women, achieve literacy and numeracy. We are promoting education for sustainable development and sustainable lifestyles, human rights, gender equality, promotion of a culture of peace and non-violence, and appreciation of cultural diversity.
As part of our efforts to promote inclusive and equitable quality education, we donate used books and equipment to schools, we have started a school supply drive, and a mentoring platform for young people.
